Odilin (8.7) won the second division of the Encourage Handicap by a length and a-half from Kirrang (Kitrang was also second . in axi eariier race), whil8 Improvement had a four lengths' victory over Irish Morii in the Vietoria Park Handicap, Biposte" aud Jubilee Singer wero nnplaced in the flrst division of the Encourage Handicap. Maori Maid was uaplaced in the second. division of the -14.2 Handicap. Hands Up was nnplaced in the Welter Handicap, which was won by Topietii.
