After the meeting, which was attended by all members, who incliided both the p/esident and the secretary of the Caaterbury Onion Gfowers' AssoCiation, the chairman, Mr. B. B. Tenhent, haiided to the Bress the following resOlution, which was passed unanimously by the committee: "This committee deprecates the critical publicity which has been given to the onion marketing seheme. While a seheme of this nature in its inoeption must be subject to minor defects which only expericnce can rectify, the committee wishes to place on record its cpinion that in the main the seheme operated to the advantage of growers generally, and the Minister of Agriculture has in an honest endeavour materially irnproved the onion growing ttpd marketing position.'4
