(By Telexraph-

BUNEDIH, Last Night Fnrther details of the meeting e£ the TJnempIoyed Worker*' Movement at Which he alleged that Dr, B. Q. MeHillan, M.P., had stated that the unemployed as well as other workers had been "sold" by the Labour Government were given by Mr. F. McComish to'day. Mr. McComish refuted Dr. McMillan's statement that the remarks attributed to Mm had never been made. "The words I used at the meeting oa Tuesday night were practically identical with those spoken by Dr. McjMiilan at a general meeting of the i Dunedin branch of the TJnempIoyed ! Workers' Movement," Mr. McComish said. "The president of the Dunedin West branch of the Labour party was also present. "Dr. McMillan asked me first of al| jwhether there wero any Press repre« 'sentatives present and on receiving a ! negativa reply he later made the state. I ment which I quoted on Tuesday night. j In addition to saying that the wqrkors had been 'spld' by the Labour Govi .emment and that the Farliamentary i Labopr party was controlled by II men i who were jncapable of doing th^'ob ha 'added that he was conyinced that only under Socialism could the problems of New Zealand be overcome. "It is useless for Dr. McMillan tq repudiate that statement," Mr. Mcs Comish added, "because there were about 80 people present and avery oue of them will xemember what he said. It seems that he was in a position where he either had to stand by his remarks and receive a severe reprimand fjom the Labour party or deny that he jmade the statement, Fvidently he i chosa the latter courae." I When Dr. McMillan was asked by |telephone tO'night if he had any comjmont to make on Mr. McComish 's furJther statement he repeated his denial that he had made the remarks attri'bnted to hinv "I have nothing to add to the stg+llaent which I made on j Tuesday night," he said.
