MacLean Cup Competition

PORANGAHAU, This Day. Some good cards were handed in when the third round of the Porangar hau Golf Club's MacLean Cup competition was played. Results were as follow : — Douglas beat John Collinsj Kani beat Dalby; Cochrane beat E. J. Collins; Carmichael beat O'Dwyer. WOMEN'S CLDB The first round f,or Mrs Lancaster's trophy (handieap match play) resulted : — ■ Mrs Ward beat Miss White; Mrs Douglas beat Mrs Ropiha ; Miss Board beat Mrs Collins; Mrs Witchmond beat Miss Renall; Mrs Stewart beat Mrs R. Ropiha, An open tournament was held during the week-end in aid of the King George V. Memorial Fund, for which £4 6/- was raised. The winner of the ladies' medal match played in the morning was Miss j. Davidson, and the winner of the men's medal match was H. Dalby. In the afternoon a Canadion foureome was played, the winners being Stewart and Mrs Dalby.
