Preparirtg for Cup Challenge NEWBORT, May 25. Mr. T, O. M. SbpWith's America's Cup challenger Endeavour arrived toWed by the Viva which xelieved the coastguard cutter 20 miles out. The ■ EhdeavoUr Was escorted by the yacht Yankee and the schooner Atlantic. Captaih NOd Heard said the crew of 19 were none the worSe as the reBUlt of their OXperience. He revealed thdt the tbw liue Was purposely dropped at the height of the stbrm ,to make jt^e going easifer in the heavy sea. The Viva^s creW WOre unaware of this. The Endeavour was becalmed for , three days but had no difficulty after j j that.
