SUCCESSFUL GOLF AND BRIDGE PARTY

♦ — ~ A successful all-day party was held at the Hastings Golf Glub yesterday to assist the funds of the King Georgje V. Memorial Fund. „ Golf competitions and bridge were enjoyed by those taking part and the prize winners were as follow: — Mrs Millar won the morning medal; Miss Daisy Thompson, the afternoon bogey ; Miss Hellean, a new player from Wanganui with a seratch handicap, won the prize for the best gross aggregiate score of the day ; Mrs Swinburne Kelly the putting prize; Mrs H. N. Bishop, the contract bridge prize and Mrs J. H. Jefferd, tbe prize for auction bridge. Lunch and afternoon tea were enjoyed at the club house and as the result of the day's party the sum of £3 10/* was raised for the fund.
