GOLDEN WEDDING
Mr. and Mr$. T. Townsend, of Hastings cl?B0 °' serylce at the Methodist Church on Sunday evening the Rev. R. B. Gosneli. on behalf of the congregation, presented Mr. and Mrs. T. Townsend with a beautifui eidei-down quilt on the occasion of their golden wedding. Mr. W. Harris and Mr. E. E. Bott circuit stewards, paid a tribute to the loyal and devoted service rendered bv both Mr. and Mrs. Townsend to the church and Sunday school over a long period of years. Letters and congratulatory messages from the various departments of the church 's activities, and from personal and family f riends, were also received by Mr. and Mrs. Townsend. Mr. Gosneli, on behalf of those present, wished theaa further joy in service, good health and much happiness. There "were also present the, members of Mr. and Mrs. Townsend 's family, including a number of their grand-children. A prayer of thanksgiving and the doxology closed the memorable gathering. .
