N.Z. Cricketers Out for 119 Against Stafiordshire IDEAL BOWLER'S^WICKET (From the Special Correspondent of the CJnited Preii Association with the Teara.) (Received 25, 9.50 a.m.) LONDON, May 24. The sun during the afternoon made the eoft, drying wicket ideal 'for bowlins in the match between New Zealaiid and Stafiordshire. Wakelin and Lawton, fast bowlers, making the ball rise. forced New Zealand to the smallest total of the tour. Hadlee Weir and Wallace alone showed ability to score. Hadlee Mt five fours with hard drives to cover and mid-off. . Weir was slow to start, but, once he got going, was like his old self. He scored four fours -to point. He gjave one chance, at 15. Wallace scored the majority of his runs through the slips. He was unlucky in returning an uppish stroke to the bowler. L&mason made a better beginning but wa® beaten by pace off the difficult wicket. Likewise Lowry. Donnelly was unfortunate, hs he was batting eteadily when a fieldsman, leaping liigh, took a one-handed leg catch. The heavy outfield cut down many fours. Dunning, during Stafiordshire' s inliings, made the ball swerve. He was ably supported in the field by Vivian and Wallace. The attendance was 500. Seores i— NEW ZEALAND. First Innings.
