GIFT EVENING FOR JUNE BRIDE-TO-BE

A gift evening an houour of - a popular June bride-to-be, Miss Dolrna Kirkham, was arranged by Miss M. Little and Mr I. RoDertson and held at the home of Mr and Mrs W. J . Kirkham on i1riday evening. Games and daneing wero enjoyed, and an amusing interlude was caused when a mechanical Mickey Mpuse was presented to Mr Kurkkam, whose birchday it was. During the evening Miss (Shirley Hatherall sang two songs and Mr D. Boyle gave some items on his piano-accordeon. After supper Mr Robertson wished Miss Kirkham and Mr Carswell every happiness and presented thern wilh a large basket of parceis whieh wero opened amid amusing eomments an;J diselosed a large number of usei':il articles. Mr Carswell thanked all present for tlieir gifts and espeeially their host and hostess for arrangiug the evening. Among tliose x)resont were the guest of houour, Miss D, Kirkham, Mr aud Mrs W. J.
