PROMOTED TO MAJOR
Napier Salvation Army Officer Adjutant Neeve, who has been in charge of the Salvation Army Corps in Napier for about two years, has been promoted to the rank of major. After training in a college in London, Major Neeve took up officership in New Zealand 15 years ago and has, with Mrs Neeve, comr«*anded several of the largest eorps, including Invercargill, Dunedin South, Gisborne, Christchurch City and Auckland City. Major Neeve' s parents were officers for many years and his brother, Brigadier Neeve, is a divlsional commander in Engjand, in charge of the midland Counties. The Salvation Army has also claimed two nieces and a nephew who have attained the rank of captain, and three sons in Auckland and a daughter in Napier. The Napier people will receive the news of Major Neeve's promotion with great satisfaction,
