Donald Scott's Hole In One

WAIPUKURAU, Last Night. The members of the Waipukurau Golf Club wero very pleased and surprised on Saturday when one of the pioneer middle inarkers, Mr Donald Scott, during the eourse of a four-ball b°gey match in which his card was being inarked by the popular president, M.r Dick Johnston, astounded everybody when in the course of a bad round for the offender he popped his tee shot at Speedy's into the eup. His offence was greeted with eheers and musical honours on his return to the club house and was acclaimed in the popular style. A further offence was committed by Messrs G. Speedy and Sid Train when they trounced ,the CJolonel to the tune of 0 up in the i'our-ball hogey, but the celobration was not so pronounced, Best scores recorded were. — G. Speedy aud S. Train 6 up.
