Minister an Interested Admirer An interested admirer of the f aciilities provided along the Napier Marine Parade for the people ;s recreation and enjoyment was the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, on Thursday night. After receiving several deputations, Mr Parry spOnt some time on the Parade admiring the efficiency and agility of the young folk in the management of their skates, "The controlling authorities," remarked Mr Parry yesterday, "merit great credit for their work on the Parade. It appeals to me more than | I can tell you. The lay-out of that beautiful sea-front for the sight-seeing ! and comfqrt of the people has been wonderfully done— it is a splendid job, mspiring alike to the - mind and the imagination. "I ara an enthusiastic believer an our cities and towns providing all possible facilities for health-giving recreation and exereise of the young raanhood and womanhood of our eountryi" he added. "Napier is in Ihe forefront of many parts of the Dominion in what she has done in this way. The happy and picturesque seene I witnessed last evening of the young folk slcating amid the reflect'ions from the coloured spray of the fountain and lights which festoon the Parade was one to remain in memory."
