RUGBY PLAYERS TRANSFERRED

Several well - known Auckland Rugby players have received notice of transfer to other centres. G. Hook, the brilliant Ponsonby full-back and Auckland, representative, has arrived in Wanganui. Hook has shown firstclass form this season, and is regarded as one of the most promising young players in New Zealand football. He is" also well known as an Auckland cricket representative, being a forceful batsman, brilliant field, and a useful change bowler. J. Butler, the Marist captain and Auckland representative last year, has received notice of transfer to Wellington. He ts a fine all-round forward, and will be a loss to the Auckland provincial team this season. T. Pearce, Manukau, who was to have been transfcrred to Gisborne, is now likely to remain in Auckland.
