INVERCARGILL, May 21. A jury to-day awarded £800 damages to Henry ■ Maunder against James Coveney, a fanner, for injuries sustain- , ed in a motor coilision. i In reply to the foreman, Mr Justice Kennedy said: If the evidence has satisfied you that defendant drove neg- : ligently, then you will find for plaintiff, aud you will do that even if you take the view that the negligence was due to two people, because plain tiff was a passenger and the negligence of the driver.is not to be imputed to the passenger as his own personal negli'gence.
