Annual General Meeting Of Club PAST YEAR'S SUCCESS The first meeting of the season of St. Andrew's Men's Club — the fiftb an--nual meeting — held in St. Andrew's Hall last evening, was attended by 35 members. Mr D. J. McKay, preuident, accupied the chair. A gobd: musical programme was , successfully carried out, comprising community singing, led by Mr H. J. Grieve, violin solos by Mr J. Warren, songs by Mr W. A. Bryant and Mr B. I. Fulton respectively, and piano solos by Mr W. Lord, who also acted as accompanist during the evening. Mr D. J. McKay, in moving the adoption of the annual report, expressed thanks to the committee, and all those who had contributed to the undoubted success of^ the meetings of the last session. The average attendance had been forty-six, with an attendance of ninety at the. closing meeting. They had to tbank the church managers for the free use of the hall and piano, and a fine spirit of co-operation had been ehown by the memberg of the club, in eontributing in various ways to make the meetings instructive and enjoyable. Although the subscription .was only 2/6, they had a credit balance of £1 13/5, he added, and yet ampl'e refreshonents Ijad been supplied by the stewards (Messrs Arrell, Duck and Horne). Messrs C. Griffiths and Cunnold also spoke of the helpful nature of the club, as a means of fellowship and instruction. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year : — Patron, Bev. D. J. A. Sliaw; president, Mr A. E. Redgrave| vice-president, Mr C. Grihxths; secreta*yJ;) Mr J). J. A. McKay ; assis-tant-secretary, Mr E, JR. B. Nielsen; treasuirer, Mr A. J. C. Runciman; musical director, Mr H. J. Grieve; pianist, Mr W. Lord; committee, Messrs R. Arrell, J. Agnew, H. Hard.ing, J. Robertson, E. J. Fenton, A. G. Scott and J. Wilson; senior steward, Mr J. F. Duck. Mr Redgrave, in taking the chair, said,' he was confident that with the , fine team ot workers the present session. would be a successful one. It was decided that the meetings would be held on nlternate Thursdays commencing at 7.45 p.m. (instead of 8 p.m.) as previously). • A donation of 21/- waB voted to the fund of St. Andrew's church managers in return for the use of the hall lighting, and heating. A very c enjoyable evening was concluded by the singing of the National Anthem.
