Charge on Auckland Station Raised

AUCKLAND, Last Night. A reeomnieudation that the rental chaiged to radio station 1ZB for space or cupied fcy its aerial and transmitting plant at Kyber Pass Reservoir be increastd from £10 tq £101 a year was auhroitled to the City Council by the Pubiic Services Comuiittee to-night. It was stated that when permission was granted to the "Friendly Road" to erect masts, a nominal charge of £10 was fixed, bnt since then the control of the station had been substantially changed, and charges were now made for advertjsxng. The committee's recommendation that the rent be increased was adopted.
