A jay-walking carriet-pigeon tied up Iraffic at a busy intersection in Baltimore, TJ.S.A. during tiie xush hour xecontiy. The pigeon alighted on the street and walked into the path of- a tram before the motorman could stop, Tho ruffled bird, which was not hurt. refused to come out from under the car. A policeman tried to coax the pigeo» out with soft words. It would n*t move. Finally the officer borrowed an umbrella from a ■woman uud, with th© crook of the handle, scooped out th© bird.
