Minor Storm at Farmers' Conference

AUCKLAND, Last Night. A minor storm broke over the raxmers' Union provincial conference to-day, when a charge was laid by Mr. H. Carey that in its advocacy oi costless credit the union had not represented the whole of the farming comm^nity. "This talk of costless credit is the ruin of the Farmers' Union," he said, amidst eries of dissent. " We speak for all Jhe farmers of the Auckland Province. The door is open for all to joih," said the president, Mr, , Mellsop. • "We should go beyond discussion of 1 ragwort and the number of teats a cow has," said Mr. B. H. Furness, Mr. H. M: Eushworth," M.P.; addressed the conference for- two hours "on . monetary refonn, and answercd many questions.
