(From Our Own Correspondents.) Waipawa Gounty Loan. The latest Government Gazette contains notice to the effect that consent has been given the Waipawa County Council for the raising of £5000. .The term is fixed at ten years and the rate of interest 3J per cent. First-Aid Lectures. There was a very encouraging attendance at the first of this eeason's St. Jo'hn Ambulance first-aid lectures and demonstrations, held in the Waipawa borough meeting-room, and i.t is likely that the men's class will be stfengthened by . the addition of a dozen new members. Dr. T. Seton Norris was the lecturer. Waipawa's '.'San" Day. Yesterday was Waipawa's "San" day, and gifts for the patiente were contributed by the following: — Mrs Collett, sweets and cake; Mrs Lee, books; Mrs Perry, tinne,d fruit; Mrs Mawson, sauces and pickles; Mrs B. Ross, cake; Mrs Barker, tinned fruit; Mrs Cossar, tomato soup; Mrs Bryant, grape jelly; Mrs McLean, bananas; Mrs Harris, chocolate cake; Mrs Mason, cake and biseuits; Williams and Kettle, sweets; Mrs Hunt, cake and biseuits; Mrs Patterson, cigarettes; Mrs J. Bibby, fruit salad; Mrs Gollan, tongues; Mrs Carlson, biseuits; Mrs McHardy, tinned fruit; Mrs Swain, jam; Mrs Pellow, sponge cake; Mrs Strang, cake; Mrs Dalton, eggs; Miss Jull, shortbread; Mrs J.
