' CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Heavy entries were the rule at today's Addington market. Fat cattle, were cheaper. as also were heavy fat ewes, store ewes, and store lambs, but fat .store' wethers and fat lambs retained recent rates. Store sheep. — A mixed entry of backward wether lambs, old ewes and average to good lines of station wethers. Lambs, and ewes , were weaker but wethers sold from 22s to 25s 6d for station lines, being fully up to late rates. Fat lambs.— An entry of 3000 head sold. at sche'dule rates fo'r export. ■ Fat sheep. — An overflow entry of 7000 head met a good sale for wethers but heavy ewes were easier by about ls 6d. Exporters bought lighter ewes freely. The best heavy wethers made from 30s to 42s for show sorts, good 27s 6d to 29s.6d, best ewes from 24s to 31s, good 21s. to 23s, export 17s to 22s. Fat cattle. — There was an entry of 655 head including: a big .line from the south. The market exceeded requirements and there was an easing of 20s a head. Best steers made from £13 to £15 17s .6d, good £11 to £12 10s, medium £9 10s to £10 lQs, _ best heifers £8 to £11 12s 6d, good £6 15s, best cows from £7 10s to £10 10s, rough down to £4. Fat pigs. — Baconers were dearer and porkers were unchanged. Porkers made 27s 6d to 49s 6d (average price per l'b. 5|d to 6£d); baconers brought 52s 6d to £*5 0s 6d (average price per 6d to 6id).
