Downward Trend for Store Cattle Ghecked STORTFORD REAL1SATIONS A definitely brigliter tone prevailed for storo cattle at Stortford Lodge jesterday. The downward trenc| in values which has been in evidence for several weeks past was checked, and several lines showed a recovery. Weaner steers showing breeding and size showed a decided advance on the Iast eale, making from £4 15/- to £5 1/-. Cows in calf sold to £6 15/- and met with a brighter inquiry. Values were made as follow for se lectcd lincs: — On account of Mr J. M. Chambers, Morea Station, 58 nicely-grown Aberdecn Angjs and A.A.-cross weanor slccrs showing good skins and in hardy order sold at £5 1/-. On account of Mr. A. A. Small, 24 Aberdeen Angus cows in calf and :n good condition brought £6 15/-. On account of Mr. W. W. Rherratt, Te Rapai, Puketapu, 30 quite wel!gTOwn and well-bred AbeTdeen Angus weaner steers, in good-doing order, which should devclop wcll, brought £-1 lfi/-. A lino of 14 Aberdeen Angus weaner heifers, medium grown, brought £3. Oa account of the Rtoddart Fsfate, Eskdale, 10 small-framcd Aberdeen Augus cowa in calf sold at £5.
