BRITAIN'S WAGE MACHINERY.
"Britizh machinery for the wages problem works infinitely better than that of any other country," -writes Der Bund, Beine. "It is fair and just that che workers shonld have a share in returning prosperity, rising prices and advancing profits. Even if the factor of rising costs is set against this, there is still a margin of prosperity which provides the investor through the world with a better return on capitah > "Whereas in the majority of countries, such as the United States and France, for instance, where trade unionism is still allowed to work freely, this process evokes strikes and conflicts, the number of such disturbances to industrial peace is sus^risingly low in Great Britain. This is due to the excellent machinery which exists for the adjudication of the claims of employers and employees in an objective manner fair to both."
