WELLINGTON, This Day. Pleading guilty to a charge of ohtaining a motor-cycle valued at £100 from a garage proprietor in' Carterton by a valueless cheque for £4G, Randa.ll James Ferguson, aged 25, a labourer, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence by Mr E. D. Mosley S.M., to-day. The evidence was that a cheque was given as deposit on the niachine on April 11, and the machine was taken away on the understanding that if would he brought back next day to get proper number-plates. The cheque was banked on April 12, and on April "14 the dealer, C. K. Goodwin, was notified that there was no account. On April 28 he received notice that the cyele was at Gisborne, and he went there and took possession o.f it.
