ITALY CALMS DOWN
Press Attacks On Britain Suspended (Received 19, 8.45 a.m,) ROME, May 18. Indications that Anglo-Italian reiations are improving can be seen in the subdued tone of the Preas and the suspension of the bitterest attacks. The' newspapers are also publishing more British news although still under Paris and Berlin date linea. ■Even more significant is one news item stating that the British Press has now adopted a more correct attitude towards Italy. Miss Mackenzje, Rome correspondent of the News-Chronicle, wha was officially notified that she must leave Italy withiu five days because she had sent "inaccurate information" to London, has been given a month's respite.
