Seventh Lactation on Official Test Julia Inka Segis, a pure-bred Holstein cow owned by E. E. Freeman, California, has just finished her seventh lactation on official teet with a record eclipsing anything ever before reported for a cow past sixteen years old, says an American exchange. fcihe freshened at 16 years, 30 months of age before starbing on test and produced 20,5591b. milk and 774.71b. fat in 365 days, exceeding the best prex'ious record for a cow of such advaneed age py more than 1471b. fat. This is not her first appearance among the leaders in tho advaneed groups. Her "old cow records" iuclude 888.91b. fat as a 12-year-old, tho third highest in the group of cows tested at that age; 932.61b fat at 14 years, the highest among 14-year-old » cows ; 854.11b. fat as a 15-year-old, second highest among 15-year-olds, and now lier new record of 779.71b. fat, the highest ever made for a cow over 16 years of age, makes a fitting cl'imax to a long life oi great usefulness to her owner and the breed.
