H.B. JOCKEY CLUB
The committee of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Club met on Friday. Present: Messrs F. P. Kelly (chairman), G. Ebbett, J. N. Lowry, G. A. Maddison, T. R. Roulston, J. W. Wedd imd W. J. Wood. Apologies for absence were received from IVlessrB G. D. Beatson, T. H. Lowry, T. V. Morrin and J. A. Macfarlane. It was resolved that a remit be forwarded to the New Zealand Racing Conterenc^ for the purpose of arranging tlut every race will commence from a stam.ing start. Measis G. D, Bpatson and F. P. Kelly wer.s appointed as the elub'e delegates to the N.Z. Racing Conference. Mes-rs G. D. Beatson, G. Ebbett, F. P. Kelly, T. H. Lowry and T. V. Morrin were appointed as the club's deugaies .io the Hawke's Bay District Committee. Various matters for the improvetoent of several of the course appointments were considered. The following dates were submitted to the District Committee for , the club's 1937-38 programme — Spring meeting, October 8, 1937; summer meeting, January 1 and 3, 1938; autumn meeting, March 31 and April 2, 1938 ; winter meeting June, 16 and 18, 1938.
