RADIO CIRCLE CHILDREN HAVE JOLLY PARTY

The annual party of the 2ZL children's radio cirdle was held in the Buffalo Lodgeroom last evening, and the youngsters spent a wonderfully enjoyable evening, the hall being gaily decorated and the party excellently arranged. In years gone by it has been custonir ary to hold the party towards the end of the year, but owing to the prevalenee of infantile paralysis last year it was considered advisable to postpone the party, and on this occasion the invitations were restricted ' to performers only, and not to the several hundred members of the Radio Circle. ' Even with this restriction there was an attendance of over 150, indicating quite clearly that there is abundant young talent in the district. The party arrangements were under the direction of Annt Gwen and Uncle hid, and also present were Aunt Milly and Uncle Charlie, of Station 2ZH, Napier. A most happy time was spent by all in games, competitions and other forms of amusement, two competitions being won by M. Smdth of Warren street, and R. McNaughton, of Terrace road. Each child was given a balloon, a generous bag of sweets, a party hat and squeakers, and later a hcarfcy s upper.
