Hastings Branch Meets At the monthly meeting of the Hastings branch of the Plunket Society Miss. Williams presided over Mesdames L. C, Bates, F. J. Hull, L. Leggat, C. Stubbs, Miss T. Keith and Mrs. A. B. Greenwood (hon. secretary). Apologies were received from those unable to be present. » The nurses' report for April rcad as follows: — New cases, town 15, country 12; viisitors to the ofiice, 886; visits to. homes, town 277, country 260; advice over telephoue, 80; letters received, 2;. letters written, 2. Country districts visited: Mangateretere six times, Havelock North five times, Clive, Whakatu, Longlands, Twyford and Pakowhai three times, Haumoana, Te Awanga and Pakipaki twicc, Otamauri, Shereuden and Crownthorpe once. It was decided to hold a jumble sale on Saturday, May 22, in the Oddfellows' Hall. Parcels may be left at the rooms. The date of the annual meeting was fixed for June 17. Mesdames Hull and Bates were apoointed visiting committoe for the jionth. _ The following donations and subseriptions were acknowledged with thanks: Mesdames Melville Bell, W. Dunningham, A. H. Dillon, Calnan, junr., W. T. Eitchie, W. E. Frethey, G. W. Elliot, D. Pollock, E. A. Bygum, IC. Sutherlaud, .T. 13 r uce, Miss Wellwood, and a friend.
