"GOLD DIGGEES OF 1937" Every two years there is presentcd to the movie-fans of the world, under the generic titlo of "Gold Diggers," a iiig and merry melange of xich comedy, songs that become hits, and pretty, faststepping dancing girls by the hundreds. Warner Bros. originated this idea and have carried it out with unfaHIng success. "Gold Diggers of 1937," the current edition, ecreens at the Cosy Theatre tonight. Dick Powell and Joan Blondell are the stars. A logical enough comedyyarn is provided, upon which the songs and dances are strung. It has to do with Powell, as an unsuccessful life insurance salesman, selling a million dollar policy on the life of Yictor Moore, a leading theatrical producer. Moore takes a faney to him and makes him head of his stage enterprises.
