Southern Hawke's Bay Tourney TITLE TO MRS. G. H. GORDON The Southern Hawke's Bay ladies golf tournament was brought to a successful conclusion at the Tahoraite links on Saturday last, the final of the ladies' championship being fought out by two club-mates in Mrs G. H. Gordon and Miss McDermott, the f°rmer, who in earlier rounds had accounted for Miss Prichard and Mrs Field, the Manawatu player, being the winner, 3 and 2. The iinal of the Tahoraite Handicap wae also annexed by a Dannevirke player Mrs Cutt', who beat Miss Collerton (Taihape), one up. At the conclusion of play the trophies wero presented to the successful piayers, Mrs C. L. Thoxnsen (president,) and Mi*s S. Edton (club captain) doing the honours. h'ollowing were the detailed results: Champiduship — Semi-iinal: Mrs Gordon* (Dannevirke) beat Mrs Field 6 and 5. Miss McDermott (Dannevirke), beat Mrs Hape, one up. Final : Mrs Gordon beat Miss McDermott 3 and 2. Tahoraite Handicap. — .Semi-final: Miss Cuff beat Mrs Hulston 2 up. Miss Oollerton beat Miss Miles 6 and 5. Final: Miss Cuff (Dannevirke) beat Miss Collerton (Taihape) one up. No. 1 group. — Semi-linal : Mx&s Hoop er Smith beat Mrs Henderson one np at the 19th. Miss Thompson beat Mrs Mi. W. Hartgill 6 and 5. Final: Miss Thompson (Dannevirke) .beat Miss Hooper Smith (Waitohora), 2 up. No. 2 gproup. — Semi-final: Mrs Nairn beat Mrs T. Nelson 7 up. Mrs Cutfield beat Mrs Fair (Feilding), 3 and 2. Final : Mrs Cutfield (Wanganui) beat Mrs Nairn (Dannevirke) 4 and 3. No. 3 group. — Semi-final: MisS Pearce beat Mrs O'Hara Smith 4 and 3. Mrs Tizard (Hasifngs) beat Mrs F. R. Cowper 2 and 1. Final: Miss Pearce (Wairarapa) beat Mrs Tizard, one up at 22nd. No. 4 group. — Semi-final: Miss V. Jones. beat Miss A. Hobson (Takapau; 6 and 4. Miss N. Barker won by default. Final: Miss Jones (Waione) beat Miss N. Barker, 7 up. Other results were: — Best nett score: Mrs G. H. Gordon 73. Bogey handicap: Miss Jefferd (Hastings), one down. Four-ball bogey : Mrs Hape and Miss C. Eoiight 6 up.
