In a Davis Oup match at Warsaw, Czechosiovakia eliminated Poiand. Hecht and Gaska defeated Hebba and Toloeynski, 6—1, 5—7, 6—1, 6 — 4. At Brussels, Fischer (Switzerland) defeated Lacroix (Belgium), 6—4, 6 — 2, 8 — 6, and Nayaert (Belgium) defeated Elmer (Switzerland), 13 — 11, 6 — 3, 6—3.
