Takapau Farms Twenty-feur applicati.ons were rejeived to participate in the ballot by ihe Hawke'e Bay Land Board for two mixed farming properties at Takapau on Thursday. Mrs L. Byrne, of Hastings, and Mrs E. D. Johnson, of Kumeroa, were successful. , A further area of 963 acres at Patoka was offered but remains unselected. Applications may still be lodged for this area, Details were advertised in the Herald-Tribune on the 5th instant.
