W. H. Coriett, who has had his team at Woodville for thd last few inonths, returns to Hastings on Monday with First Chapter, Eoyal Solo, Bunfight and Le Touquet. To date a dozen youngsters have been giveh their initial education. They are as follow: Bay colt by Siegfried, from Shu 's dam, Hathor; Chestnut "cdlt by LOrd QueX — Arab Song; bay filly by Laiighifig princC — Eoyal Song, thus a haif-sister to Mercian Prince; chestnut filly haif-Siter, by Hunting Songj to Contact; bay filly half-sister, by Tidal, td Sardius; bay filly by Gascony from the Leighton mare, Sweep Clean; a chestnut half-sister by Laughing Prince to Mohua; a chestnut coit by Gascony — Moiong; a brown colt by Lord Quex — Fondle; the full brother to Hunting Tay (Duntihg Song — Blue Jay); a brown filly by Siegfmed— Queen Salute, thus a full sister to Bertha B, a reeent winner at Eandwick; and the Marconigram filly xeeently brought back from Aiistralia by J. M. Cameroii. Most of these youngsters have already been commfented upon in the Herald-Tribune. * # * The brown colt by Lord QuOx— Fondle is a first foal. A keen SUppdrter of all healthy dutdoor sports, the late gentleman will be sadly missed, particularly in the Tacing and Eugby world. He has been racing for many yeafs, but perhaps the two best horses that he has raced afe Pakaniia and Bold Front. • • # Rakanui Will ih all probabillty be pensioned off, although fiothing definite has been decided tiRon. Cotsfield has been leased to Mr W.
