Nominations Close on May 12 Tlie programme for the Napier Parl Racing Club for its winter meeting, tc be held on June 9 and 12, is now pub lished. The two ffiain steepleehases (hacl conditiohs) carry a sthke of £150 each while the hurdle events, also for hacks are worth £100. The flat open even of £120 on the first day will be rui over six furlongs, while the Winte: Oats, of £125, on the second day, i seven furlongs. The most valuable prize of the meet ing has been awarded to the Birthdaj Haek Handicap, of £141 (including i 20-guinea trophy), over one rnile, t( zl be contested on the opening day, whili ^ on the second day the htiCks have agaii been well catei'ed for by the Marew! mn Handicap, of £125, over one toile eigh ehains. There will also be a Ladies Handicap (amateur riders) on the firs day, as well as haek, sprintg an maiden events both days. Nominations for all events close at the club's office, Herschell street, Napier, next Friday, May 21, at 8 o'clock.
