Large-Scale Immigration

(Bt Telearraph -

^®LtJ®TGTON, Last Night. The opinion that the time was not opportune for New Zealand to adopt a large-scale immigration policv was expressed by the Dominion exfecutive of the New Zealand Farmers' TJnion today, The delegates favoured a system whereby aelected boys and girle would be brought out to the Dominion. along the lines of the Flook House scheme. It was pointed out that if some such srrangement were made it would result in a supply of these migrants being available in a year or two's time and going gradually into employment without in any way disturbing the labour market. Delegates also pointed out that boys and girls in their eariy teens were more adaptable to life in a new country and would probably fit in better than older migrants.
