WELLINGTON, Last Night. ; On the eve of their great adventure, Nurse Isabelia Dodds aud Nurse Millicent Sharples, selected by the Spanish relief , comniittee to aid .the loyalists fighting in Spain, tonight bade farewell I to a small mee.ting of friends and sap-' potters in Wellington. With Sister B. Shad bolton, of Auckland, they are to: leave for Auckland on Saturday fully equipped and supplied with drugs and dressings and will sail by the Awatea - on May 19 on the first stage of the journey. The speakers to-night includod Professor H. B. Kirk, Matron A. H. Cook- ! son and represontatives of Socialist ; organisations and the relief committee. ' An appeal was made for support in raising money to send additional ance to Spain.
