WAIPAWA, Last Night. As a mark of appreciation of his services -as bandmaster over the past six years, the members of the Waipawa Municipal Band have presented to Mr. E. j. Maher, who is now relinquishing his position, a set of crystal jug and tumblers. The presentation was made by the secretary, Mr. E. C. Kingston; who said that it was the wish of the members that Mrs. Maher should be included in the presentation, as a recognition of the assistance she had given on many occasions. Suitable response was made by Mr. Maher.
