Germany Levies Duty On Foreign Raw Material (Eeceived 14, 11.30 a.m.), nBEELIN, May 13, In order to raise capital to manufacture syxxthetic rubber, Germany is lovying a duty of 1/- a pound on foreign raw rubber. A severe shortage of Tubber conl.inues, motorists having difficulty in obtaining tyres. Lorry drivers have been iixstructed to drive slowly to reduQe wear and tour.
