(rteceived id, l.bu p.m.) LONDON, May 12. When the Communion service commenced in Westminster Abbey the &ng moved to King Edward's Chair co be annointed. Four Knights of the Garter, in resplendent robes, held aver King George a rich pall of cloth of gold. These were the Marquess of Londonderry, tbo Earls of Lytton and Stanhope, and the Duke of Abereorn. Destiny appeared to place a flnger on her lip and the whole congregation froze into atillness as, taking the spoon containing holy oil whieh the Dean of Westminster had filled from the Ampulla, the Archbishop of Canterbury annointed the king ih the form of a cross on palms, breast, and the crown of his bead, The King was nest presented with his spurs and Sword of State with the uppropriate ceremony. His Majesty was invested with tbe Armill and Eoyal Eobe and presented with the Orb and tlift King's Eing was placed on the fourth finger of His Majesty '.s hand. Tbe ceremony proceedod vyithout a hitch and at longth the Archbishop, taking the Crown from the altar and, assisted by other b:shops, placed it upon the King's head. The glow of exultation in every breapt translated itself into repeated joyous sbouts of "God Save the King." The human grove burpt, as it were, into branches and bloesomed as the peers and Kings of Arms raised
tneir nands and donned their coronets, while trumpets pealed and great guns thundered from the Tower of London In sign that George the Sixth was sealed aud crowned King of EnglandThe acclamations died to awed stillness, broken by the Archbishop of Canterbury 's measured recital: "God crown you with a crown of glory and righteousness, that by the ministry of this our benediction, having a right faith and manifold fruit of good wqrks, you may obtain the crown of an everlasting kingdom by the gift of Him whose kingdom endureth for ever. Amen. The voices of the choristers soared anew, consecrating that immortal hour, that moment of eternity whach none privileged to hear it shall ever forget. The King received the Bible and the blessing of the Archbishop of York, bishops and peers following every part of the benediction with a umted "Amen."
