H.B. Electric Power Board No rednction in tariff can be recom-' riended by the Hawke's Bay Electric I'owei Board for the coming year, says ^|l 5 annual report of the chairman, Mr T, E. Crosse, presented at the annuaJ meeting ^ yesterday. The general increase in the costs of materials and wages 1 a s increased the expenditure of the board considerably, and the chairman is of the opinion that the board would not be justified in reducing tariff at present"However, it may be stated that electricity is oue of the few items in He hoi>ehoM budget where the cost to the consumer has not increased," ponciuces ihe report.
