VISIT TO DOMINIONS

Probable Royal Tour - By 1940 (Received 12, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, May 11. The Australian Associated Press learns that the result of sonndings alxeady taken, a visit by the King and Queen to the Dominions, not later than 1940, seems assured. It is gatbered that their Majesties are most enthusiastic about such a prospect, ptaricularly as it would be the first time in history that a reigning monarch visited the Dominions. It is realised that their Majesties must first go to India for the Durbar, probably in the autumn of 1938. Consequently they can hardly commence their Dominion visits before the end of 1939 at the earliest. b Nevertheless- all the Dominion representatives will be most gratified if they are able to leave London knowing that the visit is assured, regardless of who ther it is in near or distant future.
