A HEAVY PROGRAMME

Speech Creates Good Impression (Received 12, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 11. The Dominion representatives wero most impressed not only by the inatter but manner of the King's speecli in reply to the loyal addi'esses. He spoke vigorously, feelingly, practically withiout pause and with not the slightest trace of nervousness. His programme js becomiug heavier every hour, but it seems to stimulate him rather than tire him. His MajeBty this month is meeting the Dominions1 Prime Ministers and other ministers more constantly jffian any previous monarch. He entertained them all to luncheon at Buckingbam Palace to-day. Altogether 50 guests attended the luncheon, which included Queen Mary, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucestor and several foreign "Royalties, who are tho guests of their MajestieB at . the Palace. It was a most homely gathering despito the liandsome setting, including the famous gold plate. Indeed it was es8entially an intormal family luncheon party. Their Majesties presided at the State long table, the Queen being seated between Messrs J. A. Lyons and M. J. Savage, and the King between Mr Mackenzie King and General Hertzog. There were no speeches, but hosts and guests informally conversed. There was an unrehearsed incident shortly after lunch — the entrance of Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, who on their own iniative, shook hands with each guest.
