VISIT TO THE ABBEY

Their Majesties Cheered (Received 11, 12 noon) LONDON, May 10. The King and Queen gave a luncheon to the visiting foreign Royalties and other guests pt Buckingham Palace today. Crowds broke the police barriers and surged round the royal car cheering, when their Majesties unexpectedly visited Westoiinster Abbey in the afternoon for yet another rehearsal. The Duke of Kent and the Duke of Gloucester were also present. The object was to rehearse the royal prQcessions to the Coronation theatre (the area immediately in front of the altar). The excitement was intense when their Majesties reappeared after 1& hours in the Abbey. Standing on the steps of the annexe, they waved and smCed at the cheering crowds before entering their car. The morning rehearsal at the Abbey lasted about two hours. Mr. Savage, Mr. Lyons and other Dominion representatives attended.
