SHERENDEN W.D.F.U.

Monthly Meeting The May meeting of the Sherenden branch of the Women' s Division was held at Mrs Boyd's home, Sherenden, on Thursday afternoon. There was an excellent attendance of members and the meeting was a jolly one., • The president gave a brief summary of the executive meeting held in Hastings. A discussion then took place as to how members could assist the local branch of the Farmers' Union, and it was decided to inquire in what way the branch wanted support. Two amusing competitions caused muchi enjoymeut, and were won by Mrs Nowell-Ustick and Miss J. Mason. A delicious afternoon tea was served in the dining-room by Mesdames N. Beamish, H. Beamish, A. Whyte and L. Nelson. The next meeting will be held on the first Thursday in June at Mrs G. Mason 's home, Crownthorpe.
