. AUCKLAND, May 8. Many questions were answered by Mr.. W. J. Lyon, M.P., at Northcote last night, at the conclusion of a presessional address. He said the saies tax and exchange had not yet been abolished because the more important things had to be dealt with first, such as pensions, education, restoration of euts in salaries, unemployment, and similar humanitarian -problems. He believed they would find saies tax and exchange would be abolished before their term of office expired.
