DONNELLY CUP
Napier Golf Club At Waiohiki, the second qualifying round of the Donnelly Cup was played on Saturday. The scoring in the first round, played last week, was of a very high standard, and this was maintained, The following qualified for the Donnelly Cup, to play off on match play, net scores only being given: — J. Woon (13) 64 (first round), 63 (second roundj, 127 (total) ; J. B. Brocklehurst (lo) 67, 71, 138; F. NFussell (16) 68, 71, 139; K. Cutfield (23) 70, 69, 139; J. M. Reidy (24), 72, 68, 140; L. Boland (12), 70, 7i, 141; E. T. Simpson (11), 71, 71, 142; E. Williams (6;, 74, 68, 142; J. R. Hobbs, (2), 69, 74, 143; G. F. Gardiner (16), 70, 73, 143; A. A. Sinclair (4), 73, 70, 143; L. W. Willis (14) 72, 72, 144; J- W- Mapu (7), 74, 70, 144; J. S. Clark (14), 75, 69, 144; J. Harris (22), 77, 67, 144; F, H- Simpson (11), 73, 72, 145 ; A. E. Lawry (5) 76, 69, 145 ; W. J. Ellison (9) 76, 69, 145. The three last-named will play off for sixteenth place. In conjunction with the second round of the Donnelly Cup, a medal handicap was played, the proceeds lrom the entry fees being donated by the Napier Golf Club to the King George V. Memorial Fund. The senior division was won by "J. Woon 76, 10, 66. The junior division resulted in a tie betweea J. Hare 79, 12, 67, and JHarris, 89, 22, 67.
