NAPIER CLUB RUN
A large number of runners took part in the scratch race held by the Napier Harriers' Club on Saturday. The race was over a distance of 10,000 metres, starting from the Taradale Hotel, down Meeanee road, over the hill to the stop bank of the Tutaekuri -ri'ver, along the bank to Murpliy road and back to th© hotel. The course , was over two laps. The result of the scratch race was as follows ; — R. Strachan (42min. 21 secs) 1; J. Strachan (42min. 24secs) • 2 ; VV. Didcott (42min. 30secs) 3 ; R. Finnemore (42min. 40secs) 4; L. Foster (43min. 15secs) 5; F« Jttrock (43min. 44 secs) 6. • A sealed handicap held iu conjnnction, with the race resulted: — J. Strachan (8min. handicap) 1 ; A. Finnemore (7min. 45secs) 2; R. Strachan (7min. iosecs) 3; lt. Finnemore (7niin. 45sec) 4 ; L. Foster (6tnin. 15secs) 5 ; F. Brock (4min. 30§ecs) 6.
