DEATHS TOTAL 35

Sabotage Discounted LAKEHUBST, May 9. The deaths in hospitals of a passengor and Chief Radio Officer Speck brought the total to 35. All the bodies were recovered. Thirty survivors remain in hospitals, of whom two are likely to die and six are in a critical condition, including Captain Preuss. The United States Navy has appointjed its own special board of investigaition. The public hearings will take •place simultaneously with the commerce group, but the Navy inqijiiry will confine itself to matteTs directly affecting the Government, leaving the inquiry into the cause of the disaster to the Commerce Department. General von Boetigger has been appointed German observer at the latter inquiry, It is apparent none of the officials give serious credence to the sabotage theory.
