STATE THEATRE
"MAKE WAY FOR A LADY." Heretofore featured in moro or less old-fashioned roles. Anne Shirley goes definitely inodern in "Make Way for a Lady," new RKO Radio offering in which she is co-starred with Herbert Marshall at the State to-night. With its setting in a smart suburban community near New York City and a plot that deals with a highly romantic high scliool girl who plans to get hef wealthy widowed father married again, the characters find themselves involved in one mirthfully tangled eituation after another. Gertrude Michael and Margot (Jruhtuno have the princiipaJ featured roles.
