NEW ZEALAND CRICKETERS MATCHES BEGUN AT HOME COMPLETE UST OF FIXTURES The New Zealand cricket team which ls now in Great Britain has commenced its lengthy list of engagements. It is the third New Zealand side to travel the Homeland, and, In contrast to the Rugby football tltle of All Blacks, it might aptly be called New Zealand's "All Whites." September 8, 9, 10. — v. Englana Eleven, at Scarborough. The Past In Brief The first side from New Zealand to play in Britain was at Home in 1927. It played 38 matches, winning 13, losing 5 and drawing 20. In first-class games it won 7, lost 5 and drew 14, The second tour took place in 1931, when 36 games were played. New Zealand won 7, lost 3 and drew 5. Its record in first-class -cricket was: won 6, lost 3, drew 23. The wins were against Essex (opening game, innings and 48 runs), M.C.C. at Lords (innings and 122 runs), Northamptonshire, Scotland, Glamorgan and Gloucester. The Josses suffered were against Middlesex (at beginning of June), England (second test at the Oval at end of July) and Kent (end of August).
